The Dresden Files: Portland
Dragon Tony has grown up with in Chinatown and with the 888 Tong. As such he’s seen some some…weirdness. Weirdness outside normal Portland weirdness. Weirdness he knows better than to talk about. He’s become a trusted member of the Tong, one of their youngest lower echelon leaders. This is something he’s proud of—and something he knows will secure a bright future for his son, Jacob.
Recently, it’s come down from the leadership that they want a certain book stolen from Saint Andre Bessette Catholic Church. He’s contacted a outsider, Glen Hong, to direct some of the heat away from the Tong. All he knows is that Glen better not screw this up.
Tony’s several failures in securing the book have escalated up the chain of the tong. He met the true head of the tong, Wang Fa Hong, a beautiful, mystical woman who is rumored to be death incarnate. She threatens to devour him and his son if he fails to secure the priest, Reverend Donald Buxman.
Unbeknownst to Tony, his meeting with Hong is witnessed by the diviner John Daymar on behalf of Dillon Krister and his friends. They get the priest away before Tony can act and set up a meeting with Tony, delivering an alternate plan. Tony now has no choice but to cooperate with Krister to protect himself and his son.
Tony calls some of his trusted gangbangers and arranges a meeting at the Lan Su Chinese Gardens. Unfortunately, one of his boys apparently let word get out about the meeting and Hong, the Shrouded One, is there. Dillon and his friends, as well as Tony and his gangbangers confront the Shrouded One and defeat her. Her decapitated body is burned in the gardens. Tony is grievously injured in the fight.
The state of the 888 Tong is unknown at this time.
